This week we continue on our journey across Mt. Lemmon in Pima County Arizona near Tucson. We entered the fire road and were met instantly with burn scar. It was an awful sight to behold but in an eerie way, it didn't deter from the beauty.

The road was rocky and at times just wide enough for a single vehicle to pass. The dust was high as we had not had the monsoons we were accustomed to. In fact, we hadn't hardly had any. It was still tinder dry and I worried about another fire starting.

As the road wound its way down and through the mountains, we were met with a couple but not many cars, motorcycles and UTV side by sides. The road wasn't traveled much at all that day. As we continued down, we went through beautiful mesquite groves and into a valley at Peppersauce Campground (yes that's its real name) that had the most beautiful stand of Sycamore trees I'd ever seen. Boldly standing with their forest green canopies and starched white bark. It was a sight!

We ended up the day in Oracle eating lunch at a cute cafe.
