How To Loom Knit A Flat Scarf On A Round Loom - Loom Knitting With Wambui Made It

I demonstrate how to knit a flat scarf on a round loom. The first scarf I knitted on my round loom, had beautiful stitching but looked like a 'sausage'.
The scarf rolled in on itself. No amount of ironing was going to get that scarf to lay flat.

I started hearing from others that they were having the same challenge. They were getting curly scarves.

I found out that the reason our scarves were 'curling up' was because we were using one stitch - the same stitch - to knit the entire scarf. The key is to use several - or at least 2 different stitches to balance out the scarf. Here I demonstrate how to alternate between one row of knit and one row of purl to create a beautiful flat scarf that doesn't curl.
