Turkey is not toxic to dogs. It is an ingredient in many commercial dog foods and is rich in nutrients like protein, riboflavin, and phosphorous. When cooked plain, under the guidance of a veterinarian, it can be an essential part of a homemade dog food diet. Thanksgiving turkeys, however, are rarely cooked plain.

1 CUP CARROTS -Raw and cooked carrots are healthy options for dogs and make a nutritious add-in to meals. While carrots are generally safe, it is important to cut whole carrots and even carrot sticks into bite-size chunks before feeding them to your dog. As a result, you will prevent choking, especially in small dogs.

1 APPLE-Yes, dogs can eat apples. Apples are an excellent source of vitamins A and C, as well as fiber for your dog. They are low in protein and fat, making them the perfect snack for senior dogs. Just be sure to remove the seeds and core first

1 TEASPOON TEMERIC-What Are the General Health Benefits of Turmeric for Dogs?
Health benefits of turmeric have been praised in eastern cultures for thousands of years, but western medicine is finally catching on. Turmeric is a natural anti-inflammatory and painkiller. In fact, in a 2004 study conducted by the National Center for Biotechnology, turmeric went head to head with the reigning champ ibuprofen and came out the victor! This is great news for your dog suffering from osteoarthritis. Now he can take something just as effective as his prescribed anti-inflammatory without the added stress and damage that prescription medication puts on the liver and kidneys.
