MAINTAIN: Your Freedom
MAINTAIN in self-defense is all about MAINTAINING position, balance, safety, and center.
When someone attacks us what we MAINTAIN is what we keep. We keep our position and the rushing attacker cannot take us down. We MAINTAIN our balance and we do not trip or fall. We MAINTAIN our safety and bad stuff doesn’t happen to us. We MAINTAIN our center and we can move powerfully!
MAINTAIN in Life Defense is the same:
What we MAINTAIN we keep. MAINTAINING our position can be translated to MAINTAINING our rights as citizens, community members or even our voice through freedom of speech.
We can MAINTAIN our balance as changes in government positioning of agendas and changes in policy effect our personal lives.
MAINTAINING our safety can be as simple as preparation for changing times, and anticipating shortages, restrictions, lockdowns etc…and
MAINTAINING our center in the middle of global change, travel restrictions and policies so that our “movement” is powerful and remains intact amidst social differences and change.
FREEDOM is MAINTAINED by us personally, not given to us, and not granted to us. Viktor Frankl a survivor of the holocaust, and author wrote in Man’s Search for Meaning, “Everything can be taken from a man but one thing: the last of the human freedoms—to choose one's attitude in any given set of circumstances, to choose one's own way.”
If this is the ultimate FREEDOM, then we MAINTAIN it, it is ours. FREEDOM is ours to MAINTAIN. If we lose it, it is ours to lose.
