Young Buck Mule Deer Walks Right Up To Me as I Try to Keep A Little Distance Between Us. We had gone up to Etter's Skol Ranch for some late November Disc Golf. It was a bluebird sky, light breeze, a beautiful day and Tim had just thrown a few practice discs at hole 1. Then from just behind us came this group of mule deer. And I'll be darned if that spikey young Buck didn't just walk right up on me. I was trying to see where I was to back up nice and slow. You can hear Tim remind me of a small log bench I could get behind, but it wasn't much of a barrier. The deer was docile enough at the moment but I didn't want to take any chances.
