How to spot a FAKE Surefire!!! Cuz I BOUGHT one...

Good thing I had a GENUINE Surefire X300 on hand to compare it against the FAKE one I got in the mail from Ebay... The X300 is an older light BUT tips here can help spot fakes with newer flashlights as well.

After two rounds of posting visual aids showing the GENUINE light against the FAKE light the stonewalling seller admitted the proof was overwhelming and made things right with a complete refund. To be honest I even understand a little bit and don't even really fault the guy's initial "go pound sand" attitude. There's got to be so many schmuck buyers on Ebay making trouble for good sellers and this poor guy had just been completely duped by his "SureFire Distributor" in Mississippi:/

Also, in case you're wondering why I'm still looking to buy these old X300's I've got a reason and I'll tell you why another day;)
