Mel believes her primary role in counseling individuals and working with families is to serve as a facilitator of process. Her hope for her clients is that the counseling room would become a place of safety and refuge as they allow the healing process to unfold. She also has an amazing husband, Mike Payne, who works in the music industry as a guitar player and they have an adorable 7 month old, Ella Rose.
