Does God Kill?

In Deuteronomy 32:39 God said, "I kill, and I make alive." This has perplexed some who do not see God as a life-taker but it has also given support others who promote the idea that God personally dispenses sickness, death, and tragedy. In this study we will examine the passage in its surrounding context and in connection with Biblical passages and see that Deuetronomy 32:39 is not a statement in which God declares to personally take lives but that, when we have removed ourselves from under His protection, He cannot prevent our being killed by those forces that already desire to take our lives.
