A Christian Response to the World Falling Apart part 1

It was not my intent at this stage to get into commentary on current events. I hope I do not get in trouble with YouTube for posting this video, I don't think any of the content violates the YouTube terms of service and community guidelines; but with so many voices of hate and anger out there I want to take a breath and look at what is going on in our world from a Biblical perspective. Like you I have my thoughts and opinions on the current headlines. With the Lord ‘s help I am going to try to explain in this video what is going on and how the body of Christ should be responding.

We are halfway through 2020. 2020 started off like any other year but beginning in late February to mid March the world was shook with a pandemic of COVID-19 and we were all told to stay in our homes. Church services, funerals, weddings, and all large gatherings have been banned in the name of public safety to stop the spread of the pandemic. Phases like social distancing, the new normal , flattening the curve have become part of our daily lexicon. Businesses have been destroyed, unemployment is a record highs. The on memorial day George Floyd was killed when a police officer put his knee on his neck for nearly 9 minutes. This kicked off a wave protests, rioting and looting across the US and the world. Out of this movement mobs are intimidating people on social media and taking over communities. There is now another police shooting in Atlanta where Rayshard Brooks was killed following an incident with the police and that officer is now facing felony murder charges. Mobs are roaming the streets tearing down statues COVID is spiking through the country, cities are being taken over by protesters and clashes with law enforcement are commonplace and Millions are living in fear.

This was originally going to be just one video but there is so much going on that one video would be too long.

I will be using a lot of scripture reading from the King James Version. If you have a Bible you may want to follow along because the text might be hard for you to read on screen. I know that it may seem boring to listen to me read a bunch of scripture but I believe the bible should be taken literally and in context. You can take the Bible or any document for that matter and cherry pick parts to make any point you want but many times people who do this are taking scripture out of context. I may be the tool that God is using to post this video but I have endeavored to take myself and my opinions out of this so that I am hopefully a conduit of God’s Word.

I am Nobody. I am just a Christian. I am not a Pastor. I have a regular job and don't work for any church or religious organization. I implore all the Mega Pastors and Religious Leaders now is the time for you to take a stand. You guys have platforms and reach beyond You Tube. We may not be able to meet in person but God has blessed us with technology to still spread his word.
