The Art of War by Sun Tzu - The Main Point You Need to Know.
Sun Tzu wrote a lot about strategy and how it related to war. The main point I got from the book is that you MUST know when to fight, and know when not to fight. In other words, you need to know your strengths and weaknesses as well as that of your adversary. You don't go into a fight when you are unmatched. You are essentially setting yourself up for failure. In summary, know who or what you are going against (do your homework) before you decide to fight.
