Today we’re exploring a high rise abandoned hospital.
Constructed in 1972, it opened it’s doors with over 307 beds
The owners vacated and abandoned the abandoned building in 2002 in favor of consolidating into a newer hospital with lower maintenance cost.

In 2009, a group of local businessmen had plans to renovate the deteriorating hospital into an assisted living facility.
The $22 million project never came to fruition.

The new owner had plans to gut the building and build commercial and residential units. Plans fell through though as the property was facing foreclosure in January 2015.

In 2019 this abandoned place sheltered a runaway machete murderer where armed police had to storm the heavily decaying hospital to arrest him.

The views from the roof where spectacular, unfortunately, we couldn’t stick around for sunset.
We had to rush through this explore as it was getting dark and we didn't want to be around this area after sunset. Security was watching the golf range and the building shared a parking lot with what looked to be a building recommissioned for Covid-19 testing.
