But they are lying about the doses needed. 800 IU Vitamin D per day is not enough! 4000-10000 IU (depending on weight) is needed!

Debunking of the São Paulo study that I reported about yesterday:
1) The vitamin D was given too late
2) Just one dose and no further doses
3) The patients were too different. Healthy 18 year olds who would have been fine regardless of calcifediol-levels and people so sick that they would have died no matter what. The people helped by vitamin D were too few to matter.
4) Vitamin D in this dose was totally safe.
5) Another study with daily 60 000 IU showed good results

Brazilian randomized controlled trial (n=240) of vitamin D supplementation (200,000 IU one dose) in serious Covid patients (90% on oxygen) 10 days after symptom onset does not shorten hospital length of stay or meet other endpoints (death, ICU).

Vitamin D is useless if the liver can not make calcifediol of it because of deficiencies. No, that was not the problem. Calcifediol-levels went up just fine!
