Rumble It is not enough to feel what your trigger finger is doing while pressing the trigger. You also need to intellectually understand what is happening as you press the trigger. The "slack" in the trigger is part of the pre-engagement travel (PET) which is deactivating internal safeties to allow the pistol for fire, particularly with striker fired pistols. This exercise lets students feel and see the PET.
