"The Bear" Ad for Reagan-Bush '84 presidential campaign

"There's a bear in the woods..." so begins one of the most famous political ads. Of the various TV ads presented to President Ronald Reagan, this was his personal favorite. Still, it only had a short run because the Morning in America ads set the tone of the campaign, leading to an historic 49 state landslide win for President Ronald Reagan in the 1984 presidential election.

In 2004, the George W. Bush re-election campaign ran a very similar ad with wolves as an analogy to the terrorist threats.
