2014 Utah Voter Information Protection Bill with carve-outs for political parties and certain politically-favored groups. Voters' information has, so far, been sold to anyone who wanted it. The bill will limit sales to politically-connected groups but includes penalties for mishandling and misuse. Additionally, some means for personal information protections were granted.
