These are Genuine U.S. Government Issue ECWS (Extreme Cold Weather System) sleep system. These Military Modular Sleeping Bag are constructed to insulate the user in environments ranging from mild weather to extremely cold weather. Made in the USA and manufactured to military specifications.

The Military Modular Sleeping System consists of two mummy-style sleeping bags, bivy cover and compression storage bag. Each sleeping bag is constructed of water-resistant ripstop nylon. Each sleeping Bag is fully functional independently, or can be combined depending on conditions.

For a temperature to -30 degrees, insert the Patrol bag inside the Intermediate Cold Weather bag. Each bag is compatible with the Gortex, vapor permeable bivy cover. When all 3 compartments of the Gortex 3-part sleeping bag are used together, the system is rated to provide 4 hours sleep at -40 degrees.

Both mummy bags include reversible, double-pull zippers to allow for top or bottom ventilation. Non-locking slide fastener self repairs if jammed or snagged, draft flaps to prevent heat loss, adjustable hoods with draw cord and barrel lock.

PATROL BAG: Temperature to +30 degrees, Approximate dimensions: 90in - 92in long; 36in - 37in wide. Color: Green. Approximate weight: 9 Lbs.

INTERMEDIATE COLD WEATHER BAG:

Temperature to -10 degrees, insulation does not migrate in the bag, anatomically designed foot box contains twice the insulation as the bag, sewn-in, quilted chest collar prevents air drafts up and down through the hood, hood adjusts for heat retention; includes nylon draw cord and barrel lock. Approximate dimensions: 85in û 87in long; 34.5in - 35.5in wide. Color: Black. Approximate weight: 4 Lbs.

BIVY COVER: Approximate dimensions: Overall length 85in maximum; Width at feet is 28in minimum and at shoulders is 35in maximum. Approximate weight: 3 Lbs.

STUFF SACK: Compressible to approximately one cubic foot, six, 1" wide nylon webbing straps by ladder lock buckles, reinforcement webbing is sewn around the circumference of the bag, nylon draw cord closure with a barrel lock. Color: Black
