Intlungu yaseMatyotyombeni Movement based on the land occupation areas, and all these areas have taken land during the period of National emergency and the pandemic of corona. These are affecting communities without access to water, toilets, electricity and housing. The movement was started in 2020, October and about 12 land Occupation areas, Thembeni, Level 2, Sakhile Nathi, Covid 19, Phumlani, Social Distance, Mpolweni, Makhaza, Pandemic.
The movement in the past two weeks has protested at the City of Cape Town Khayelitsha Office and hearings on Land Expropriation without compensation in Khayelitsha. Both City and the chairperson of the hearing promised to respond after 7 days. And we realize that our demands for water, toilets and electricity are not answered. Its been 6 months now without water, toilets and electricity. We see ourselves treated as outsiders or not people who belong to South Africa, we are treated as animals, under a difficult period of corona. We do believe that we are under attack by the City of Cape Town and National parliament. Movement of the poor black working has decided to embark on the shutdown, as result of being neglected by the national parliament and City of Cape Town. They demands Water Proper toilets and sanitation Electricity City of Cape Town must stop the applications for court interdicts action is targeting N2, R300, Spine Road, Beach Road next to Khayelitsha, Meway entrance to Khayelitsha.
