Morris Minor Resto - Proving Murphy's Law

I first saw my Morris Minor van on Ebay in 2008 being offered for sale by a "specialty" car dealer in South Carolina named Turkey. I showed my wife the ad and she said "We've gotta have that." She's a good sport. Turkey had imported the car from New Zealand where it started life as a municipal vehicle in Rotorua and was restored by a custom trail bike builder for his business. The truck went to NZ as a CKD or complete knock down, that is, it was shipped disassembled and reassmbled on arrival at its destination. In 2017, I turned it over to Axiom Restorations for a complete frame off resto. As planned, they gave it back to me with engine and tranny just sitting in place and I did all the detail work to get it back on the road.
