Collins Dictionary says "lockdown" is word of the year for 2020

Collins Dictionary has declared the word of the year as "lockdown". The publication said the use of the word went up 6,000% from 2019 to 2020. Other words making the top 10 were Coronavirus, social distancing, self-isolate and furlough.
