Three people shot near Circus Circus on Las Vegas Strip

Three people were shot Saturday night at the Adventuredome theme park at Circus Circus Hotel and Casino on the Las Vegas Strip, Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department spokesperson Lt. Dori Koren said.

The three gunshot victims were taken to local hospitals for treatment and are in stable condition, he said.

The incident began around 7:30 p.m. as an altercation between two groups of teens or young adults.

The casino's Adventuredome area was seen blocked off as authorities conducted an investigation, FOX 5 of Las Vegas reported.

Responding police officers found three wounded people who were then transported to a hospital and were in stable condition, according to FOX 5.

A "person of interest" was in custody by 10:30 p.m., the station reported.

"We do believe this is an isolated incident involving a fight between two different groups of individuals inside the Adventuredome," LVMPD Bureau Commander Dori Koren told reporters. "This is not an active shooter, and we do believe that there is no further threat at this time to anyone else in the public."
