A Dark Day in Dunharrow

A pair of wandering adventurers are pressed into service to save a small mountain town from a monster which roams its streets after sundown...
This is a Fantasy short story that I wrote a while ago that takes place in the same world as my novel, An Uncommon Burglar, though about four centuries or so before the time the novel starts.
It's meant to be one of the standard sorts of stories the characters in the kingdom of Wolestland tell each other. If you were to walk into any pub, inn or find yourself sitting down to be entertained in a noble's hall anywhere in the kingdom this is probably one of the tales you'd hear (or at least a reasonable approximation of it, anyway).
