2011 Ford F-150 Defrost/Floor Actuator Replacement
As a new member of Rumble (Thank you Dan Bongino), I thought I'd add my how-to video on replacing a vent control actuator on an F-150. These things are notorious for going bad. I typically use the internet for figuring out how to repair 'things' and I'd like to see more on the Rumble site.......so I'll start with mine.
This is a video about replacing the actuator that controls the defrost-floor vents and not the hot/cold blend actuator or the driver/passenger AC actuator for those who have 3 like myself. I used a small socket wrench and everything seemed to work ok. I believe the same actuator is used in 2010-2014 models.
Don't forget to pull the fuse for the computer to reset itself for the air. I believe it is fuse #46
My apologies for not using the correct terms like 'drive-by-wire' as opposed to an electronic throttle, as well as my liberal use of "tangs". Anyway, I hope this video helps you out - also the beer was good.
