Info from Licensor: "The harbor seals in Friday Harbor learned from their mother the famous resident seal 'Popeye' to go see the fishing boats when they come in at the end of the day to get the leftover bait. Some of them are a little more eager and better at begging for scraps. We spent a week in Friday Harbor at the end of August for our 25th wedding anniversary, we salmon fished every day, and when we’d come into the harbor at the end of the day, this seal came to visit us looking for leftover bait, or the scraps from cleaning fish. It is illegal to feed them because they have gotten so bold in their adorable begging for food. It’s next to impossible to resist those big gorgeous pleading eyes."
