Anyway, here's some history on this song: Like #Waste (https://youtu.be/IZfnLtOUI88), it was originally written on October 13th, 2016. This song began as a lead line that was partially inspired by elements included in ADCD's #Thunderstruck, as well as melodic material found in irish fiddle parts. The 12/8 time signature gives a sense of forward-pushing momentum.

Another thing Waste and This Machine have in common is a common premiere date. This Machine was premiered while the Shreditor was in #TheRunarounds, seeing its premiere on October 16th of 2016, at The Token Lounge in Westland MI. The event was put on by AlienX Radio and Smash Concerts, where it was streamed to a few thousand listeners, as well as a packed house.

This Machine remained largely unchanged through the entry and departure of The Shreditor in Vox Ad Nil and EXTREMIS. However, the current version was finished when new intro/outro material was added, as well as a lengthy and tumultuous guitar solo that was placed before the final chorus.
