Database Systems - Chapter 1

In this video, we cover different database systems, why you need a DBMS and some basic introduction topics. What is the importance of database design and how has it evolved over the years. The textbook we are using is Coronel and Morris Database Systems (13th Edition). This lecture is designed for an Introduction to Databases college level course.
