What is a strongman? What do people mean when they use the expression?Show more

In my younger days--and even somewhat still today--I "qualified as" a strongman. I did and do, what I need to, when I need to do it. I'm seldom ill, and when I am, it's for short periods, and generally not in serous ways.

The term has been used for people like Vladimir Putin, and it's true he acts the part.

On the other hand, it's also been used for folks like Donald Trump--not by him by others.

There are still others who're strongmen, mostly they don't even get noticed. They do what needs done, hard or not, powering through.
