10 October 2019 - Marina Da Gama resident, Mike Ryder with the help of a few other locals have placed nets in canals which leads to lakes and the ocean. The nets are in place to stop the bulk of rubbish and oil dumped in the canals in industrial areas. The City of Cape Town assists the project by emptying and removing the rubbish. Birds who form part of the biodiversity in the lake with the pollution visible in the reeds in the background. - Video: Tracey Adams/African News Agency(ANA) (89B)
