South Africa - Cape Town - 4 January 2020 - The D6 Hanover Minstrels were the first group to start the day. Thousands of Cape Town minstrels took to the city streets in a blaze of colour, music and culture as they took part in the annual Cape Town Street Parade. Traditionally hosted on January 2, the Tweede Nuwe Jaar procession is being held on January 4 because of the sunset of January 2 coinciding with the Friday Jumah (prayers) of Muslims.
