The Pavilion

This was a project to convert a gazebo into a solid unit in order to protect from mosquitoes and other insects. We hooked up an electrical box inside and an outlet on the outside along with a homemade light on the ceiling and a flip-up bench with a TV brace underneath.

The window screens are also homemade and are detachable for storage.

We constructed an insulated storage unit below the bay window for storing summer stuff. The roof is sealed with liquid and spray Flex-Seal, and covered over with just roof underlining.

We stained and shellacked everything, then used prime-seal coating over certain areas, then painted those areas for extra protection.

We did not overhang any portions of the roof because of the wind gusts throughout the yard from two wind-tunnels. We made it more streamlined so the strong winds would not catch any edges and peel the roof off over time.
