#HomeontheRange is a #classic #western #folksong sometimes called the "unofficial #anthem" of the #AmericanWest. Dr. Brewster M. Higley of #SmithCounty, #Kansas wrote the lyrics in the poem "#MyWesternHome" in 1872.[1][2] In 1947, it became the Kansas state song. In 2010, members of the #WesternWriters of #America chose it as one of the Top 100 #WesternSongs of all time.
