That's certainly the case here as well.

In the least case though, I believe there are folks intent on spooking folks and potentially on transitioning the model for the manners in which the governed behave by default in this country.

In the worst case, I believe there's been an ongoing attempt to remove the sitting president and those working with him to the extent possible, through fear, bullying and coercion.

As I say, if you have some other explanation, I'm all ears. Don't expect I won't potentially present counter arguments, when and if you make comment.
