20201010 The Presumption of Innocence

Two crucial parts of the American system of law, are the presumption of innocence, and due process.

Those concepts may have only been intended to apply to the legal system, ut I think you'd find most people believe they ought to also be used in some measure, in most proceedings in which guilt or innocence is being established.

That would certainly include the proverbial court of public opinion.

If you express your beliefs in the public, before knowing and more importantly weighing the facts, it's my hope you'll employ the idea that a person's innocent until proven guilty.

If after, I hope you and others, realize the process still exists and is not there for no purpose.

Remember, due process and presumption of innocence are not in place in our systems for no reason.
