SOUTH AFRICA - Cape Town - 30 October 2019 - Four years ago, Mitchell's Plain resident, Clive America, 67, went lame as he climbed up onto the side of the bath to reach for his shaving kit. He was taken to the General practitioner who referred him to Mitchell's Plain District Hospital. He stayed there for a week, and was told he had a stroke which affected the left hand side of his body. At first, when returning home, Clive could do nothing for himself and couldn't walk. He said his daughter had to take care of him and do everything for him. Clive said the physio therapy he received did not help much. He did however, learn to walk again, with the use of a crutch, even though he has a limp. He has to take many tablets every day and watch his diet in order to stay healthy. - Video: Tracey Adams/African News Agency(ANA) (eug)
