Dystopian Reality (album) by Steven Van Horny

movie : Doomsday Machine 1972

First album I did with my Modular system since I've completed my 3 84hp rows of module in February , I've worked on this during the lockdown and released it in April.

What I did mostly for this album is self evolving soundscapes using sample & hold modules to control Oscillators , using a system of complex LFOs & blending Noise sources into VCAs modulated by many LFOs. The sounds from one patch are in a way replicating a pattern over time but each pattern sounds a little bit different and there's no way I can do one patch the same from scratch all over again. What I really enjoy from the modular is that I'll achieve unique sounds everytime. I've learned a lot about what I can do with my system while making this album.
