Are You A Wave Rider?
It is difficult place when you are young in your faith and learning to ride the waves of life safely into shore. Why is it we resist asking God for help, when the water swells around us and overwhelms us with paralyzing fear? He is a present help. God can ride us into shore safely. When we are overwhelmed by the waves of life, He is our Way-Maker and He will take us all the way into shore in that way only He can.
Psalm 46:1-3 God, you’re such a safe and powerful place to find refuge! You’re a proven help in time of trouble— more than enough and always available whenever I need you. 2 So we will never fear even if every structure of support were to crumble away. We will not fear even when the earth quakes and shakes, moving mountains and casting them into the sea. 3 For the raging roar of stormy winds and crashing waves cannot erode our faith in you.
