3/5th vote slaves Founding Fathers racist compromise Lincoln first Republican president

It seems that the Founding Fathers were racist when they only counted the slaves as 3/5th of a person. Is that what really happened? Surely these God fearing men had a good reason. Lets explore the truth from their perspective.
