A MUM who has spent $35,000 on tattoos admits that she is “totally addicted” after covering 99% of her body in ink - and now plans to add more extreme modifications to her collection. Aleksandra, 30, from Finland, has been transforming her body for the past 10 years, inspired by her parent’s alternative looks. She told Truly: “My fascination began when I was nine years old, as I saw my mum and dad’s tattoos." Her interest grew the more she added to her collection, and once she met her tattoo artist husband her more extreme ideas became a reality. “I decided to get my face done when I was quite young, but I really didn't have the balls," Aleksandra explained. “After I met my husband, we boosted each other to do [it].” The couple attracts body mod admirers, but she said they are like any other family. “People think we’re badass and brave, but I don't consider us braver than any other person.” Aleksandra has suffered verbal attacks in front of her children because of the way she looks. However, she is determined to carry on, with more extreme plans in the future, like eyeball tattoos, which could risk her eyesight. In the video, she gets the final part of her body tattooed before she runs out of space and begins covering her previous ink with blackwork, so she has a “new canvas” to “draw on”. For her, the pain and reactions are worth it to get the results she desires. “I'm really addicted to doing this, I don’t regret any tattoos that I've got because they're phases of my life.”
