Felled tree crumbles like cookie before hitting ground

Jake Murphy works as a lumberjack in Nanaimo, British Columbia, Canada. Check out this video of one of the trees he cut. After being cut down and before it hit the ground it just disintegrated like a crumbling cookie. Very unusual.
