Unbelievably skilled or extraordinarily lucky?

Zach Conley from Olathe, Kansas in the US filmed this incredible trick he did using just a pen and drinking glass. He wanted to throw the pen in the receptacle, but ended up doing something that's much, much more difficult. See it to believe it!
