Is this cat communicating with the spirit world?

Scatty the cat lives with its owner Erica Welch in Denver, Colorado. She has often filmed her cat staring into and reacting to empty spaces. Apparently Scatty is always demonstrating this strange behavior. Is it seeing spirits, or just acting odd?
