Showers and storms will persist through today with a frontal boundary stalled over part of the area. Farther south, training storms will lead to some localized flooding in spots. The rest of us will have a round of thunderstorms rolling through from the west. Any of these could bring strong winds, hail, or even an isolated tornadic spin-up. After that happens, more strong storms may fire through parts of the afternoon into the evening. Highs will be in the upper-70s. Dry weather returns for the weekend with Saturday having some wind with highs in the upper-70s. Sunday will be cooler with highs in the low-70s. The cooler weather will stick around as we head into September.
