A BURNS SURVIVOR who suffered serious burns to over 75% of his body has founded his own clothing line to help other survivors raise money for life-saving treatments. Marius Woodward was born in Romania and was severely burned at just eight-years-old when his father threw a gas can onto his mum in a heated argument that caused a house fire which took both of his parents' lives. Marius suffered third and fourth-degree burns and was put into an induced coma for two weeks. After nine months spent in the hospital, he moved from Romania to the United States to undergo treatment at the Shriners Hospital for Children in Los Angeles and was adopted by his parents in the United States. Marius, who is now 21 years old, has always maintained a positive outlook, despite his injuries. The young man is embracing his scars and inspiring others to accept their differences. He launched his own merchandise TeamMarius to help other survivors raise money for medical assistance and is hoping to start a non-profit organisation for burn survivors.
