Reconnect to Nature and Your Community with the Urban Ecology Center!
Especially during the COVID-19 pandemic, people have found that spending time in nature is more important than ever. Luckily here in the city we have the Urban Ecology Center to upkeep our city's green parks and provide activities that will keep everyone smiling! Today we are joined by two Urban Ecology Center Members Rae Johnson and Elijah Moore who will share some of the ways they like to spend time outside, and how their membership at the Urban Ecology Center helps them connect to nature and to their community. We are also joined by Glenna Holstein, Membership Manager, to share how to get connected and start learning—and playing – outside with them! Last time they were here they announced that equipment rentals were resuming, now it is exciting to say they are launching a new program! The Urban Ecology Center created an awesome virtual platform called UEC in My Backyard, where people can find activities and learning opportunities to help them to connect with nature right in their neighborhood. To find out more about UEC in my Backyard, equipment rentals and membership fees visit urbanecologycenter.org.
