Singing Blue Jay
78
This video is of a beautiful male Blue Jay calling to his partner, the female then shows up. The only way to tell a male Blue Jay from a female is by their sounds. While they have a variety of sounds that they can make, the male Blue Jay often makes a sound that is similar to a squeaky door, while the female Blue Jay frequently makes a low growl sound. These birds are fascinating to watch and I am happy to be able to share this video with you. Now that fall is around the corner, more and more birds are showing up at our 24 hour bird cam. We feed the birds and sometimes the squirrels year round. If you would like to visit our live bird cam, we are on YouTube under; Live Bird Feed From New Hampshire. Thank you for watching.
