Roughly one in three children hospitalized with COVID-19 in the US has needed ICU treatment.
This figure was released on Friday by the U.S, according to UPI.com.
Hospitalized adults infected with COVID-19 are admitted to the ICU at essentially the same rate.
However, adults are 20 times more likely to need hospital care after getting infected than children.
Invasive mechanical ventilation was required in less than 6% of children.
This is compared to nearly 19% of adults.
