Helping Out One of My Gooses

One of the Four Horsemen, as I call them, who are 4 domesticated geese who were dumped here together a few years ago and who I now take care of...backup feed for them, check them for injuries and illness. etc. on a regular basis. They originally belonged to the owner of the Coyote Ranch Resort/Jellystone RV park south of Wichita Falls, but she up and decided she didn't want them, because they begged for food from the customers too much, so she dumped them here. I used to work with her on her other animals, because she more or less has a petting zoo out there, but over this and her regard for her chickens, I severed ties with her. She's chincy and never donated a thin dime for my help, even rehabbing some of her resident chickens and giving her extended direction on improvements to winter housing for her sulcata tortoise. She's the kind of person who doesn't hesitate to collect animals as an attraction if it brings her business, but doesn't care what happens to them if they're any kind of inconvenience. I just can't stand feckless people like that. Upon me telling her that her staff were leaving for the night and not putting the chickens up in their coops, and I had run away a bobcat out there one night stalking the chickens...she just sort of shrugged and said they were "just chickens", and it was no big deal if she loses a few.
