A new study has found that Cinnamon may improve blood sugar control in people with a condition known as prediabetes.
According to CNN cinnamon may slow the progression to type 2 diabetes.
The study published Tuesday in the Journal of the Endocrine Society, who studied 51 people with elevated blood sugars for 12-weeks.
Cinnamon has been used for thousands of years. From Ayurvedic medicine to the Ancient Egyptians ti the Romans.
The CDC says prediabetes is a serious condition where blood sugar levels are higher than normal, but not high enough yet to be diagnosed as diabetes.
Prediabetes puts you at increased risk of developing type 2 diabetes, heart disease, and stroke."
