Carpal Tunnel Syndrome
Carpal Tunnel Syndrome is a disorder that affects many thousands of people each year. It is a compression of a nerve in the wrist often brought on by repeated movements of the wrist and hand, such as keyboarding. Depending on the severity of the disorder, herbal remedies may help with inflammation and blood flow.
Turmeric - A common kitchen spice, turmeric is known to help stop inflammation. Available in capsule form, take one 300-milligram capsule up to three times per day. It is also available as a tincture. The easiest way to get it, however, is to use it as a spice, added to foods. Add 1 teaspoon of spice per day to food.
Boswellia - Boswellia is a tree resin that has been found to help block the chemicals in the body that favor inflammation. Available in capsule form, look for products that contain at least 65 percent boswellia acid in order to be effective.
Ginkgo - Ginkgo is known to help increase blood flow and reduce swelling. It also protects nerves and can help them heal. In capsule form the typical dosage is up to 180 milligrams per day.
