NYC VIBE LOOKS BACK AT THE LAST FIVE YEARS OF THE CFDA AWARDS
Each June, the international fashion community honors the best and the brightest in American design. Known by many as the “Oscars of Fashion,” the annual awards ceremony recognizes and celebrates outstanding contributions made to the fashion industry each year.
Like many 2020 events, this year’s CFDA Awards have been indefinitely postponed due the COVID-19 pandemic. On the heels of the announcement that this year’s Met Gala has been officially cancelled, fashion lovers have been left without the usual landmark events and ceremonies to celebrate fashion in 2020.
NYC VIBE takes a look back at the last five years of the CFDA Awards, while looking forward to the future when the fashion community’s most beloved and anticipated events can safely resume.
