MKE African American infant mortality rates among the worst in the nation

Wisconsin African American mothers and their babies face one of the worst mortality rates in the country, being 3-4 times more likely to die during childbirth than their white counterparts. The Healthy Women, Healthy Babies initiatives hopes to bring up to 100 new doulas to Milwaukee.
